What Is Backloading?

Table of Contents

If you’re moving to a new city and don’t have a lot of furniture and belongings to transport, you may be interested in backloading.

Here at Bargara Removals, we offer trusted backloading removal services, so let’s take a closer look at what backloading actually is and how the process works.

What is backloading?

Backloading is a cost-effective removal service that sees your possessions or furniture loaded onto a truck that is already heading in the direction you’re going in.

Ideal for people with few possessions, this service can be cost-effective as you also have the option to share the space with other customers who are in the same situation as you.

What are the advantages of backloading?

There are many advantages of choosing a backload removal service to move your furniture and possessions, including:

  • Cost-effective: As mentioned above, a backload removal service is more cost-effective as you have the option of splitting the cost with other people. Even if you don’t end up sharing, taking advantage of a truck that’s already heading in the same direction you are is cheaper than hiring your own van.
  • Environmentally friendly: Backload removals are environmentally friendly as they take advantage of ‘shared trips’. This reduces the amount of road pollution as it prevents movers from hiring individual removal vans that are half empty. Fewer vans on the road and less fuel consumption lead to a reduction in carbon emissions.
  • Flexible timing: There is so much flexibility with backloading services. Unlike regular removal services which require a designated time, date and amount of furniture to be explicitly set, backloading enables you to easily utilise empty truck space whenever it is available – even at the last minute!
  • Reduces the amount of physical labour: Backloading also significantly reduces the amount of physical labour required during a move. By hiring a backloading service, you’re not required to move anything yourself, meaning all you have to do is get yourself and your family to your new location.

How does backloading work?

1. Contact Us

The first step is to contact us and let us know what items of furniture or belongings you need moving. At this stage, we will determine how much space we think you will need and either add you to an existing journey or make a new booking.

2. Moving Day

On moving day, we will load your possessions onto the truck in a safe and orderly manner to make sure that they remain together and don’t get lost.

3. Ship Your Items To You

Once the truck is loaded with everyone’s items, we will start our journey, shipping your items to you to meet the schedule we outlined when you first contacted us.

How can I arrange backloading?

We offer a high-quality, efficient and reliable backloading service across the Sunshine Coast, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas, including Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Gladstone.
